Several professers at high up colleges all along the country, such as FSU, Havard, and Duke, have summed up to the conclusion that with Pikachu's red hat and blur of speed, he is by far the coolest fighting game character ever. Here's some direct quotes for yoU!
Quote: Prof. Traf Yeknom "Pikachu is the best character in SSBM"
Quote: Dr. Sheryl Noitacav "I want that hat"
Quote: Prof. Nosmo King "411 ¥0U|2 |34$3 4|23 |33|_0/\/& 70 |°1|{4<HU"
There you have it folks. Living proof that Pikachu is the best. =D

Annnyway, Pikachu is great. I've developed a new strategy for Pikachu players. It's name? Perfect Dodge. It's apparent that Pikachu lacks in 1 on 1, but given enough practice, the goal is not to inflict damage, it's to CREATE, damage. Confuzzled? Check it out. Pikachu has a low defense, but his evasion is tops. He can easily dodge around the best characters such as Marth, Falco and Shiek. All you need to do, is set up the opponent in situations where he isn't comfortable. On the defensive, it's good to get near an edge, and make it look as if you are doing it by accident. Get your opponent's blood pumping by realizing how quickly he can knock you off. It's a good idea to shield, and only roll when you feel a heavy hit coming in. Then all it takes is a grab, or a break dance to hit your opponent off balance. Then, bolt to a different part of the board, and try to get him in an other uncomfortable place. If he maxxes out on Aerials, get lower than him. If she is great at smashes, get them on small platforms. If they move around a lot, get them right off the edge. The strategy works really well. The one thing to remember, with this strat, is to never use thunder. Takes too much time for the small amount of damage it does.

Jayson lacks the ability to read a paragraph from start to finish and not get confused and question suicide. Pikachu is considered a bad character, because you can't play with him like you would regular characters. Pikachu and Pichu both have to be played delicately because of several obvious flaws. But pikachu has the ability to move across other's and counter moves and very fast and small attacks. I have stopped playing with him a little bit, and have focused more on Fox, but I will start practicing with Pikachu again and prove his worth at one of the tournaments.
Oh and Jayson, there is no way in hell, that a 'good' Pikachu player can be beaten by ANY Kirby player. Donkey Kong is another matter, because of his power hits, but I still think Pikachu can evade enough to win.

Look jayson. I don't mean to flame or anything but I honestly think you need to brush up on your common sense man. read ALL of Erics paragraph. and Eric, I disagree because kirby is a character that also requires delicate playing style but he has more versatility than pika. Need an example? Fine by me, Kirby has DECENT ground attacks but his best ground feature is his unpredictability. Kirby can switch his playing style to fit the situation better than most characters because of his size and B attacks (dont ask me how, he just does) but when he can get pika in the air...fuggedaboudit Kirby owns pika hands down because of his rapid air combos (although jiggly's wall of pain is much better). Now for the second part of my speech. Most sword characters and shiek can EASILY counter pika's speed with down smashes and attacking from the air and as for the problem of thunder??? easy, air dodge the reason being is that by staying in the air, pika will HAVE to come up for u and let's face it, He's a weak air fighter. Even if he wont come up, just bomb his ass with falling air attacks and items.

Definately well put, although the kirby versatility thing is a bit contraversial, anyway, hes sright eric, pikachu isn't the best aerial fighter out there....

well its because he could be a good areal but he don't get enuff height in his jumps. Say he got yoshi height with 2 jumps, he'd be able to light mothaf*kas up with 3-4 air attacks per set of jumps!
