is this for sega? by the way are they out of buisness? It is for the Playstation. Use a search engine every once in a while. All your questions are tiring. No, Sega is not out of business, they gave up consoles for now though. They make games and arcades now.

they sure as hell do. Nintendo and Sony kick their ass in systems. Sega and nintendo USED to be the rivaling superpowers but then Nintendo came up with the N-64 and sega just bombed.

Dreamcast was out before PS2, and after PS1. The majority of the games were japanese-made ones generally targeted at anime-fans, or sports titles for just about anyone. It didn't sell all too well because, well, it was missing out on a lot of genres and familiar games.
Anyway, the top is LEGEND of DRAGOON.

for once eric is dead rong... The Dreamcast was out be4 the PS1 because the creators of Sonic decided to postpone putting out their newest game at the time so that they could put it on the PS1 which had a better graphics system and was just an all around better...

for once eric is dead rong... The Dreamcast was out be4 the PS1 because the creators of Sonic decided to postpone putting out their newest game at the time so that they could put it on the PS1 which had a better graphics system and was just an all around better... ... Matt, you know nothing. -_-' LOOK AT THE TOPIC. That isn't on topic. Point Number 2. Dreamcast OWNED PS1 graphics. No way in hell was Sega going to put Sonic with Sony. You're thinking of Sega CD or Sega Saturn. Geez, don't make replies trying to call me dead wrong when you have no credibility to anything you say.
So how about some direct quotes? The Dreamcast, Sega's 128-bit system, launched in Japan in November 1998 and in September 1999 for the US and Europe. The Dreamcast's popularity in US and Europe soared during late 1999 and 2000 thanks to an impressive array of Sega games, and the company had bold plans for its little white box including but not limited to the launch of SegaNet, the world's first gaming ISP.
However, four years of losses stemming from the Saturn and Dreamcast left the company no choice but to stop production of the console at the end of March 2001. Sega has ensured that existing Dreamcast owners will receive a steady supply of software into 2002 while the company looks into becoming a third-party developer, giving UK manufacturer Pace rights to create devices using the Dreamcast technology.

Hmm, Sept. 1999, now lets see when PS1 came out. I know FF7 came out in 1997.. sooo ..
When split across the world, shipments for the PlayStation have been most impressive in North America with Europe coming in a close second. Since release on 9/9/1995, North America has seen shipments of 39,670,000 units. Europe, since release on 9/29/1995, has seen shipments of 39,610,000 units. Japan and the rest of Asia has managed shipments of 20,720,000 units
PS1 was released in 1995. Off by 5 years Matt. Now get back to the topic.
