this seemed to be an untouched subject, so i brought it forth. what is the best genre of music? this has been debated since the dark ages, when the only forms of music were the minstrel's happy chamber groups and the then neo-scifi twist of synphonic baroque. now, however, there is more to choose from because of the freedom of choice that we enjoy. i ask again- what is genre of music??

the eighties were the age of "Magnum,PI" and kid shows like "grundie the man slaying robot escapee of alcatraz" and other stuff like that. besides, some of its, well, a little too soft and fuzzy for me. im not saying the eightys were all bad, its just that some of it is airy and michal jackson like.

...listen to 2112 by Rush sumtime it ends in the guy commiting suicide. If that's soft and fuzzy...then u need to be slapped. U just think its soft and fuzzy, see jacob, if all styx songs were like "im gonna make you feel it" then i'da shot myself from listening to it so no worries =) In MY OPINION! (i cant stress that enough) RAP IS CRAP it dont matter what rap, white rap, black rap, smart rap, dumb rap, ANY rap blows horror rap etc. It takes no talent so i cant call it music. oh and classical music is good if u need to relax

yup. but the only difference is that i listen to classical in my free time. also i like to use it as conversational music. additionally, i find that new age music can spark very deep relaxation when its done with synthesizers. i guess your right, eighties and late, LATE seventies can be pretty good in the right circumstances.
