Fox has an infinite hit combo (u need to be a fox "grandmaster" to do this, but u can only do it by a wall) he has better recoverys and that's about it. i still prefer falco because he can actually spike

After unleashing my best fox moves with the R-X crew at Game Knights, I've come to the conclusion, then other than not having an aerial spike, Fox rules in all other areas, most of his combos have to consist of constant shines, and aerial kicks are a lil bit better than Falco's. Falco is good with juggling using his reflector.. but still not near the greatness of Fox.

I just dont like the feeling of NOT being able to spike. Im a marth player and I use the spike every once in a while and just like the extra security. The shine requires a sufficent amount of skill to use while the spike only requires a jump and thats about it

hey dont forget about us poor samus players! we have a spike, but it is extrordinarily hard to hit with! but really if yu can avoid the infinite combo you can beat fox

nah Let me explain the infinite hit. it comes in a couple steps 1) be fox (aahhh---DUR) 2) Be good (again, DUR) 3) Be able to wave dash (optional) 4) be able to short jump (required 5) have skill jumping instantly out of the reflector 6) be able to L-Cancel the jump-kick while fastfalling on a short-jump and heres how u actually do it line opponent into a wall with fox on the outside, short-jump and do his drill-kick then L-cancel it, reflector, jump out, and drill kick, Wash, Rinse, Repeat for an attack to make all your friends never wanna play with you again. ALTERNATE INF. HIT (will whites way) 1) wave dash (required) 2) fox (durr) 3) be good (durr) 4) reflector skill (required) Line opponent against a wall and wave dash into them as u touch them hit the reflector, wash, rinse, repeat for an attack that requires no jump-kick but STILL pisses all of your friends off to the point where you MIGHT get hacked up in your sleep. enjoy

ok, let me p ut it into perspective:you guys arent that bad. Will practices four hours or more a day. i have no idea how the hell he does it. it baffles me how someone can sit down - EVERY DAY - and play the same game until you are almost perfect at playing it. sure, the game is interesting, but what happens when you are obsessed?(not that you are this is asked in general)

Well, Maybe not 4 hours a day...Sometimes more here, but I don't do it every sinngle day. If I have someone to play, I will play them for hours and hours. I had a 2 day sleep over and we literally played smash...all day. Out of the whole 2 days, we spent OVER 27 hours on this one game. and it was only 2 extra friends over, so only 3 people playing at a time. I may not spend 4 hours EVERYDAY, but the majority of the week has ALOT of smash play and I hardly ever get bored with the game. You may call it obsession, but is it obsession when your good at it and want to get better? Think about it, I think there is a difference in just liking a game and playing for a lonng time, but for a game that takes skill, you play it for hours I see it as harnessing that skill. *Grins, hands in pockets, digs out 5 cents and throws it in* I'm feeling happy. ;D

k. i just cant get that into a game myself, and i kinda agree that its not obsession. dungeons and dragons players are obsessed and play it well into thier fourties.

Well Personally eric you are wrong, i would rest easier NOT knowing fox's infinite hit combos. I personally think fox is a fun character to mess around with but i find no actual desire to learn to play him with any skill. Although i am practicing Marth's chainthrows i really dont NEED to learn those either, all i need to learn is wavedashing and short-jump-combos

PEOPLE! My advice is don't worry about being a fat 40 year old because you're only 14! You have much less to lose. Enjoy your hobbies. You're not even in college yet. Even then, you can still have fun, as long as you put college first.

two things. >.> First, Fox HAS a spike. Fox's shine is an excellent spike. also, Fox can not do his infinite on Falco, however he can up-chainthrow at low percentages. It is true that in some ways they come very close, but the overall advantage for Fox is his speed, aerial game, recovery, and ability to shine spike put him over Falco. Not saying Falco is defenseless, a good Falco can FORCE a fox to block almost to the point of a sheild break, making him roll or let go and then getting combo'd, but doing so is very difficult, another thing as one user mentioned (sorry i forgot who) Falco has some great shine combos and the chainthrow on Fox. And since both of their spikes can not be meteor-cancelled, when one spikes the other, they are usually gone for good. : ) P.S. i actually haven't been playing melee as much as i used too.. I been playing lots of Halo lately, but ill prolly start playing it again soon, as im starting to go on another break the target/home run contest frenzy
